the heelflip:1) Roll fast enough that you feel like you're rolling smoothly and comfortably across the ground.
2) Set up with your back foot on the tip of the tail and your front foot just behind the front truck bolts with your toes hanging off the edge of the board. Keep your body straight-- your head should be directly above the center point between your feet.
3) Bend down keeping your head above your board. (Don't lean forward, just squat.)
4) Pop your ollie and jump with it but don't throw your shoulders back as you go up. Right after your tail taps the ground, kick your front foot forward with the heel in a kind of diagonal direction. Kick it out in front of you but also kick it a little toward the direction in which you are rolling. This helps to give you a flip that you can see and catch easier.
5) Don't lean back! Don't try to bail! Catch the board, push it down and land. Roll away happy.
The kickflip:1) Start with your back foot on the tail and your front foot right under the bolts. Your front foot should be slanted just a little.
2) Bend your knees and pop your board.
3) Flick your front foot off the tip of the nose making it flip.
4) Suck up your legs for the catch. Try and keep your feet over the bolts.
5) Land and absorb the shock and roll away.
the hardflip :1) Apporach the object your are trying to hardflip (gap, stairs, ramp, flatgound).
2) Set your back foot in the left corner (if your goofy right corner if you are regular foot) of your tail. This will help you scoop the board. Then set your front foot on the upper right side (if your goofy) were it feels comfortable to flick it off to the side.
3) Since your board is fliping in a folding fashion most of the work is done with your back foot.
4) When your are ready, scoop your back foot so that your board will start going into a vertical motion.
5) When your front foot reaches the top of the board let it go limp so that you get a solid flick.
6) Avoid poping to hard, this will cause your board to pop up your butt. Try and pop with control
7) Watch for your board , catch it as it folds up to your legs.
8) Catch it, float, float and land.
9) Then ride away smooth.
the manual:Must be able to ollie over a deck standing up
ollie up a curb
manual a set distance, like sidewalk cracks
1) Start and maintain a fair amount of speed. Make sure your back foot is covering most of the tail and your front foot is placed just before the bolts.
2) Pretend you are just going to ollie onto the curb but do it a little earlier and come up a little higher than the curb (so your back wheels dont bonk).
3) Land on your back two wheels and balance with your arms
4) hold still and just pretend you are dropping off the curb when you get off.
the noseManual:the same as the manual except ur on the front tip of the board
the imposible:Setup like you would for a 360 shove it, maybe even have your back foot a little more like a pressure flip. At first it will seem impossible to actually spin it straight up and down, so what you want to do is start trying them a bit more 360 shove it style and less straight up and down. Then keep moving up and up until you get them straight up and down. Ok, so you are in your stance, your back foot is like a pressure flip, so you can scoop the board. You front should be where it would for a 360 shove but a little more back so you can slide it off easier.
Pop down but kick back at the same time, this motion is a lot like the pressure flip, so it might be a good idea to learn that trick first. Once you have scooped it take your front foot of right away and you should jump forward as you scoop. The board will do a cross between a impossible and a 360 shove. It might take a while to get the wrap around the foot thing going but it won't be to hard to do once you get it. Then catch the board with you front foot and stomp it.
the FS boardslide:1) Approach obstacle at a moderate speed.
2) Pop an ollie turning 90 degrees onto the rail, bench, ect.
3) Once on the rail keep your weight centered to avoid slipping out.
4) Once at the end of the rail turn out and ride away.
5) note: The faster you go the easier the boardslide.
the FS Noseslide:1) Approach obstacle with decent speed. Make sure your comfortable before actually attempting it.
2) pop an ollie and start to turn the board 90 degrees as if you were doing a 180.
3) Watch for the nose to get over the ledge and just stand on it.
4) Keep your weight mostly on your foot and just slide across the obstacle.
5) When you reach end, start to turn your body then pop a little and your feet should fall into place.
6) Land bolts, absorb the shock and roll away clean.
the FS tailslide:do the same except grind on the tail
the FS Overcrook:This is the same as a crooked grind except the tail end is pointing out the opposite direction. In this grind, you ollie onto an object and plant your front truck and the nose of your board at an angle. The back end of your board is up in the air and pointing towards the object. (if it is pointing away from the object, it is called a crooked grind)
the FS Smith:1. Ride toward your obstacle with a little more speed than you would need for a 50/50 grind. (Image 1)
2. Ollie up toward the obstacle as you would for a 50/50, but as you come down toward the obstacle, push your front truck down and to the side of the edge of the obstacle so that the nose is below the edge when you start to grind. (Image 2)
3. Land with most of your weight on the back truck, and lean back slightly. Most of the grinding pressure will be on your truck, but the edge and underside of your board must be sliding on the object as well, otherwise you are NOT doing a Smith grind. Basically, this is halfway between a 50/50 grind and a lipslide.
4. Keep your weight back as you grind. The more you lean back, the longer you will grind - just don't lean too far back. The key is to get "locked in to" the grind on this trick, and you will feel it when you do it right. (Image 3)
5. Put all your weight on the back of the board, and begin to stand up when you want to come off. Once the nose of the board is once again level with the rest of the board, simply ride out of the grind as you would for a 50/50
the FS feebleA feeble is a like a cross between a 50-50 and a boardslide. You grind with your board touching and angled at about 30 degrees. This grind looks really cool and it's great on rails.
and if u want 2 u can do all these bakwords 2 do a BS Whatever
